Joe Barrett was one of San Siemon's best sons. His dam was Little Sue and his full blooded siblings were Black Hawk, Sandy Benear, Little Sue II, Sue Hunt [Continental King's dam], Little Sue III [Harlander's dam], San Sue Darks [Leo San's dam], Dr Jack Barrett, G-Fern Anniversary, and James Kenney Mare.
Joe Barrett was grand champion stallion at Fort Worth in 1944. He sired both working and race ROM qualifiers. Among the offspring of his daughters were the AQHA Champions Julio Bar, Jody Cord, and Poco Mo, in addition to the Superior-earning cutting horse Hollywood Bill.
